I came to flowers the long way, after 15 years in tissue engineering, management consulting and social procurement. The Corner Garden is where it all comes together.
In 2023 we moved into an Edwardian corner house in Kingsville with decades of concrete, compacted soil, agapanthus and lawn. I started growing from seed because I wanted a greater variety than what I could find in the nursery, and was sick of buying root bound plants. Now it’s the most colourful garden on the street.

Grown from seed
Every flower and seedling starts as a seed, tuber, bulb or corm, and is grown pesticide-free.
Cut the same day
Flowers are cut the day they go out for delivery. Never flown in, never stored in a fridge for two weeks.
Science-led
Engineering and chemistry put to work: soil tested for pH and NPK, seasons planned as a system, and every harvested stem tracked to build a forecast model.

The house with the flowers.
Locals know us as ‘the house with the flowers’. Toddlers stop for my daughter’s fairy statues along the fenceline, dog walkers have appointment viewing with Millie the Groodle, and gardeners drop by to see what’s changed this week.
The garden is also where Growing Gardeners was born. We now support five schools with free seedlings and expertise, across Melbourne’s west and into Docklands and Brunswick East.
