GARDEN

For gardens that work for you and the pollinators.

Site-specific, seasonally structured and honest about what thrives in Melbourne's West. We will build soil health, work with what you’ve got or create something new, and then help you maintain it so you have your dream garden 12 months of the year.

SCHOOLS

Growing Gardeners. Hands in the soil, not in the air.

Curriculum-aligned growing programs for primary schools and childcare centres, with free seedlings and gardening guidance. Currently running at Footscray West, Footscray City and Brunswick East Primary.

Expression of interest

Tell us about your school, your garden and how you’d like this to integrate into existing learning, or create new learning opportunities.

1

Community support

Our monthly Pollinator Packs are released in support of your school. The community’s purchase does good twice: more habitat for pollinators, and funding your school’s participation in our program.

2

Site visit and confirming your needs

We will visit your school and conduct a site visit to inspect your growing locations, review soil health and discuss plant selection. We will also confirm how we can integrate into your existing curriculum, or provide support to establish a new offering.

3

Seedling growing

We grow seedlings for your school right here in Kingsville. Minimum quantity is a 72-cell tray, with your choice of natives, companion plants or ornamentals - all pollinator friendly.

4

5

Growing sessions

Hands-on sessions throughout the term to support students plant, maintain and harvest (if relevant) from their thriving garden.

Outcomes report

What was planted, what was learned, what grew. Documented for the school council and future planning.
