A beautiful garden starts with healthy soil. This service assesses your soil from a physical, pH and soil fauna perspective to build an accurate picture of what you're working with before you plant anything. A written report follows, with amendment and improvement strategies specific to your soil. Physical preparation is available as a follow-up service.

As we get to know your garden, we'll give you practical advice on long-term, sustainable solutions to whatever challenges you're facing.

You’ll receive a confirmation email, and a reminder email 48 hours before your booking.

We meet in your garden
We get a proper look at your space and talk through your challenges and goals. If you’ve booked The Works, we get stuck in, otherwise the consultations or learning sessions will kick off.

Written follow-up
In Your Garden consultation and Groundwork soil assessment include a written report within the week. Maintenance clients book their next session online, or we can arrange recurring bookings.

Do I need to start with the free consult?
No — if you know what you need, book directly. The free 20-minute consult is there if you're not sure which service fits, or want to talk through whether it makes sense for your garden before committing.
What areas do you cover?
Kingsville, Yarraville, Seddon, We-Fo and Footscray. If you're just outside these suburbs, get in touch and we'll let you know if it works.
Do I need to be home during maintenance?
For the first session, yes, it helps to walk the garden together. After that it's up to you. Many clients leave access and we get on with it.
