Why we grow
Because our streets are heating faster than new trees can grow, and the bare ground in between gives no one a reason to be out on them.
We believe that when we grow gardens, our community and environment are happier, healthier and stronger.
So we grow local slow flowers and pollinator-friendly seedlings, create sustainable and regenerative gardens, and grow the next generation of gardeners through free plants and education in local schools and early learning.
That leads to the community investing in sustainable, green spaces both inside and beyond their front fence.
And results in a greener, healthier, stronger west.

How we create impact
Free and subsidised access
Fine gardening delivered at a discounted or no charge rate, and the garden itself open for seniors, people with disability and neurodivergent children to visit.
Growing the next generation of gardeners
Eight sessions across four partner schools and early learning settings, mapped to the Victorian Curriculum F to 10 across science, design and technology, mathematics, English and visual arts.
Free plants for the community
418 seedlings donated to partner schools and early learning settings, and counting.
Environmental stewardship
Gardens grown and maintained using regenerative methods, with flowers grown locally rather than flown in.
