What we are growing this month
Spring growing
The daffodils have been going strong for a few weeks now, and the ranunculus, anemones and freesias are just hitting their stride to give us seas of beautiful, romantic spring blooms.
Garden spotlight
It’s a very busy time for the garden, looking after the soil as the spring flush kicks into gear, and of course, planning our summer crops! With all the fresh growth, aphids are out in force, so if you see them in your garden make sure to check out the field note with my DIY recipe to nip it in the bud.
The Growing Gardener’s greenhouse
Seedlings are about to go into the ground at Footscray City Primary, and at Footscray West in term 4. Gowrie’s seedlings are slowly establishing, and once Brunswick East finalises their seedling wishlist, those will be sown in the trays too.
